The Practical Test

MANY DRIVING SCHOOLS DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW THIS...but 48% of driving tests in Hartlepool and Middlesbrough end in a fail, and you can check it out on the DVSA website. That's right nearly half are going to waste their money because they will end up failing the driving test.

At Driving With Ellis, we have a different way of teaching you how to pass your driving test, so you are in control of passing your test and you are not relying on 4 leaf clovers, rabbits feet, black cats and crossing your fingers.

So if you are looking for a qualified coach who’s available to provide lessons tailored to your needs, one who is a qualified DVSA Approved Driving Coach offering personalised 'One-to-One' Driving Lessons in Hartlepool and Teesside then look no further.

I’ve been coaching students of all ages and levels throughout the Hartlepool, Billingham, Stockton and Middlesbrough area and I will help you become a better driver not just get you through your test.

It all starts with our Triple Guarantee

Why do people fail their test?

The DVSA published a document (click here to view it) about the top ten reasons for failing the driving test. For 10 consecutive years the #1 reason for failing the driving test is observation at junctions. It's not as if this was a trick question or recently published information driving instructors didn't have the opportunity of seeing and contrary to what a lot of driving instructors believe, which is nerves.

The examiner is not just looking at your technical ability but they also want to see you are following the Highway Code, have a safe attitude to driving, in control of the car at all times and your hazard perceptions skills are spot on. Passing the driving test is nothing more than that.

The reason why so many driving schools have poor pass rates is because they only concentrate on the technical side of driving, leaving a gaping hole in your education. However at Driving with Ellis, right from your very first lesson we program you to drive like a natural, almost like being on autopilot.
